My Hat Lady Candle

Hello everyone.  Today I am posting my candle that I made for a friend.  I love these images by Rick St. Dennis.  I colored this with copics then scanned it into the computer and then printed it on tissue paper.  This is really easy to do.  I tape it to a piece of card stock to put through the printer.  I think cut it to fit the candle and use wax paper to put over the image and use and heat tool to melt the image into the candle.  Once it cools then I add any embellishments and this time I used a pink ribbon.   I make a lot of these and use them for gifts.

I would like to enter this into the Anything goes challenge at the Classic Design Team Open Challenge for Design team members.  You can find the challenge here.

I hope you like my candle and that I have inspired you to try one of your own.  You could use a napkin as well but just one layer be sure to check to see how many layers it has.  Once I do another on with a napkin I will post that too.

So till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Silently Sparkling

Good morning to you all.  Today is my day for inspiration for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Challenge blog.
I used the image Silently Sparkling and you can find it here.

Our Challenge theme for the month is Use Thinking of you, Thank You or Sympathy for your card.  I hope you will join us for our monthly challenge.

This week is the DT. challenge and the theme for this is White on White.  The only color we could have would be the image itself.  I love this look as it always looks so elegant.  I used the polka dot embossing folder.  The bow is really the only embellishment that I used.  I am going to use this for a birthday card for a relative.  I colored her with copics.

I would like to invite you to join us in the facebook challenge here
Also come join us at the Monthly Challenge as well and you will find that one here.

So ladies and gents till next week happy crafting.

Anthera Lady of the Woods

Good Morning to you all.
Today I am posting this beautiful image from MoonFlower digital images.

Her name is Anthera  and the image is called Lady of the woods.  You can find her here at the shop.  She is a wonderful image to work with.  I lay awake last nite after coloring her wondering what I could do to make this card.  I had several ideas but ended up using this one.  I made the flower at the bottom (hoping to match the ones in the image) from a leaf punch by Stampin-up.  I just cut a few leaves one large two medium and 5 small ones just inked them to match the image and used a fiskars flower punch for the green leaf.  I masked the image and stamped the trees in the back with the Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin-in up.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets.  The background color is eye shadow.  The die cut behind the image is from Spellbinders.  I mounted it on a black card to make it stand out.
I sure hope you like my card, as it is one of my favorites.

Come on down to the MoonFlower blog and get some inspiration from all the wonderful cards our DT team has made with the MoonFlower images.  I hope you will find some you love too.

So till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Coloring Inspiration

Hey everyone good day to you all.
I was sitting here at my computer adding things to my blog and decided to add some of the images I have colored  and maybe help you all along with some color choices.  So without further ado here are a few that I have recently finished but not made into cards as of yet.

These are a few of the ones I have colored recently hope you like them and that they are an inspiration for you to color more.
Have a good day and Happy crafting to you all

Linda

Some coloring fun

Hey everyone.
I am posting this today to show you some of my coloring.  I did this over the course of about 6 hours. It was tedious work but I absolutely love how it turned out.  That is the one and only reason I am posting it here.  I haven't made it into a card yet and not sure I will.  I may try for something different like putting it in a frame to hang in MY craft room.  It will be really hard to give this one up.  I have a few cards like that too that I can't bear to part with.
I bet most of the crafters out there feel the same way I do about certain images they take such a long time to finish and love how it turns out.
I got this as a freebie on an Adult coloring site on Facebook.  They do give out some pretty awesome images but very intricate ones like this one.  This is not something I would normally color but what a challenge to do so.  So I say take a challenge and see what kind of project you can come up with.
Once this is done with however I finish it I will repost it so you can all see what I did with it.
But you can be sure it won't leave my house.
So all till next time Happy Crafting

Wedding card

My post for today is the wedding card I made for my grand daughter's wedding.  I used "That" folder that I got in a magazine and some die cuts from spellbinders.  The hearts are from the scrapbook expo a couple of years ago.  I did the embossing then put the flowers on the curve of the folder I mounted it to the cream colored card stock.  I love how it turned out so simple yet so elegant.  She loved it.

I would like to enter this into the challenge at Creative Moments here:https://carabbiemomentsofcraft.blogspot.com
This will be for there anything goes but with a wedding/anniversary twist.    Come down and join the fun. See you there and Happy Crafting.

Witch Bat

Good Morning to you all.  Today I am posting for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps.  My image is called Witch Bat Cat Moon Gothic Halloween.  You can find her here.
I don't normally make Halloween cards except for my grand kids.  I will use this one for the oldest one as it is a bit to sophisticated for the little ones.
I colored her with copics and used a spellbinders die cut for the card.  It is a hinged card and the leaves and bats are also spellbinders dies.  I added glitter to the wings to make them shiny but it really doesn't show in the photo.
This is our third week of the month so this is our DT anything goes week.
I do hope you will come join the challenge this month you still have a week to do so and you can find the challenge here:

And I would also like to invite you to join us on Facebook where we have challenges and you can get a ton of inspiration from the ladies there.  I am going to post the address for that as well here.

Butterfly Moth Lily Flower

Good Morning to you all.  Today is Thursday so my turn to showcase my image for the challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Challenge.  This beauty is called Butterfly Moth Lily Flower.  I really like her and she was fun to color.  Our theme for this Challenge this month is "GO NATURAL". You can use creams, whites, browns as long as they are natural colors.  You can find this image at the store here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/gjzcck?ref=listing-shop-header-item-count&search_query=Butterfly+Moth+Lily
I have chosen the creams and brown family with a pop of color in the green.  (For some reason no matter where I took the pic's of this card the colors are not true to what they really are.  The back ground on the paper is tan and cream and her outfit is tans and creams but they sure do not look like that in any of the photos that I took.)
You can see what the card looks like from where I tied the bow around it for closure to the image itself.  I was experimenting with the edge dies that I just got so that is what the front consists of.  I added gems swirls to the fronts and also the inside for bling.
I do hope you will come play along with us at the challenge here: http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.co.uk.
If you are on FB then you can join in the challenges that we also have on there and the addresses for that is here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/chingchoukuikdigitalstamps/.
So I am off to make one more card for this month and I hope you have a wonderful crafting day.  (it is raining here so may as well play LOL!!

Sweet Snuggling

Well hello to all my wonderful followers, and if your not a follower and have found my blog, I do hope you will join me here on the blog and follow me in my travels through craft land.  I will try to post things that you will enjoy and not bore you.

Today I am posting my inspirational card for Ching-Chou Kuik Digitial Stamps. The name of this image is Sweet Snuggling and it can be found in the Esty shop here:https://www.etsy.com/listing/259091955/sweet-snuggling-digital-digi-stamp?ga_search_query=sweet+snuggling.&ref=shop_items_search_1
I think she is a beautiful image and Ching-Chou Kuik has some wonderful images for you to choose from.  This week our theme is anything goes and since my grand daughter loves mermaid I chose this one to color for her.   She is partial to Pink but I like the colors here too.
I used Copics to color her and the embellishments on the side I tried to find something to make it look something like seaweed.  Had to add the flowers just because I love flowers. And so does my grand daughter so there you are.  I tried to use papers with colors to match the image. I think I got pretty close.  The background was done with eye shadow and sprayed with hair spray to seal it.
I would like to invite you to play along with us at the Challenge blog here:http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.com/.

We have a facebook page as well to play along with challenges there with lots of inspiration. So come down and check out the challenges.  The addresses is here for your convenience: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=ching-chou%20digital%20stamps

Thank you for checking out my blog and hope you have enjoyed your self here.  Till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Mermaid GiGi

Hi everyone today is my day for some inspiration for you from MoonFlower Digi's

This sweet image is called GiGi Mermaid and you can find here at the Esty Shop for MoonFlower Digi's here.

I used a spellbinder die cut to make my hinged base card.  The corner pieces are some of the cuts from the card base that I used as embellishments. I love the color of the base card so I used it to go with my color theme.  I popped her up with foam dots to add height to the image.  Then I added a bow that I made with the home made bow maker my husband made me and it works so well.  The prefect bow every time, and everyone should own one of these.  I didn't go for a lot of embellishments on this as it is for my 5 year old grand daughter.

I do hope you enjoy my card and will leave me a comment on it.  So ladies and gents  till next time I hope you have a wonderful crafting day!!

Hugs
Linda
