Sweet Snuggling

Well hello to all my wonderful followers, and if your not a follower and have found my blog, I do hope you will join me here on the blog and follow me in my travels through craft land.  I will try to post things that you will enjoy and not bore you.

Today I am posting my inspirational card for Ching-Chou Kuik Digitial Stamps. The name of this image is Sweet Snuggling and it can be found in the Esty shop here:https://www.etsy.com/listing/259091955/sweet-snuggling-digital-digi-stamp?ga_search_query=sweet+snuggling.&ref=shop_items_search_1
I think she is a beautiful image and Ching-Chou Kuik has some wonderful images for you to choose from.  This week our theme is anything goes and since my grand daughter loves mermaid I chose this one to color for her.   She is partial to Pink but I like the colors here too.
I used Copics to color her and the embellishments on the side I tried to find something to make it look something like seaweed.  Had to add the flowers just because I love flowers. And so does my grand daughter so there you are.  I tried to use papers with colors to match the image. I think I got pretty close.  The background was done with eye shadow and sprayed with hair spray to seal it.
I would like to invite you to play along with us at the Challenge blog here:http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.com/.

We have a facebook page as well to play along with challenges there with lots of inspiration. So come down and check out the challenges.  The addresses is here for your convenience: https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=ching-chou%20digital%20stamps

Thank you for checking out my blog and hope you have enjoyed your self here.  Till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Mermaid GiGi

Hi everyone today is my day for some inspiration for you from MoonFlower Digi's

This sweet image is called GiGi Mermaid and you can find here at the Esty Shop for MoonFlower Digi's here.

I used a spellbinder die cut to make my hinged base card.  The corner pieces are some of the cuts from the card base that I used as embellishments. I love the color of the base card so I used it to go with my color theme.  I popped her up with foam dots to add height to the image.  Then I added a bow that I made with the home made bow maker my husband made me and it works so well.  The prefect bow every time, and everyone should own one of these.  I didn't go for a lot of embellishments on this as it is for my 5 year old grand daughter.

I do hope you enjoy my card and will leave me a comment on it.  So ladies and gents  till next time I hope you have a wonderful crafting day!!

Hugs

Little Pink Princess

Hi everyone,  Today I am posting this little cutie that I colored a couple of days ago.  I don't know who the artist is as I have had it for a long time and in a misc file with no artist name on it.  I have had it printed and in a folder for a long time.  I was cleaning and found her so decided to color her for my grand daughters card.  I love how she turned out so wanted to post it here on my blog.  I also want to enter it into a challenge at Color IT Create It Show it Off challenge here: http://coloritcreateitshowitoff.blogspot.nl/

I colored her with copics and hunted for a great background paper and it is from Recollections.  It just all seemed to go together.  The flower is a cut from my cricut and some printed paper.  I just used a brad in the middle as the cut has a hole in the center.  Behind that is a silver doily from Michael's.  The sentiment is one I bought at a garage sale.

I hope you like my little princess and will leave me some love on it.

So till next time have a wonderful crafting day!!

Swing in Spring

Good day to you all.  Today is Thursday and my day for inspiration for you from Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps.
Our theme for the Design Team this week is make your own background.  We as a team do this each month for the second week of the month.  I used eye shadow to do my background.  It is a combo of 3 colors to make it look like the sky.  I then used Hair spray to set it so it won't rub off.  I colored my image with copics and cut some swirls our of some white paper and added them to the side along with some flowers from Recollections from Michaels.  I really like how this one turned out.  You can find this stamp at the Esty store here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/225673217/swing-in-spring-digital-stamp-instant?ga_search_query=swing+in+spring&ref=shop_items_search_1.

"Sunshine"

Hi everyone!  I hope your day is going smoothly.  Mine has been great so far as I have accomplished all I wanted to get done today, and that is somewhat of a miracle!

Today is my day for Inspiration for Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps.  My image is Sunshine (Sunflowers).  Our theme this month is "Use your favorite color".  In my case I used two of my favorite colors.  I have to say this card makes me really happy and it makes me smile when I see it.  You can find this stamp here at the store: https://www.etsy.com/listing/208578862/sunshine-digital-stamp-instant-download?ga_search_query=sunshine+sunflowers&ref=shop_items_search_1   I do hope you will go over to the shop and check out all the wonderful images Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps has to offer.
I would like to invite you all over to the blog to play along with this months challenge and you can find that here: http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.com/
I of course used my copics to color her with and the edges have been punched with a Fiskars border punch.  The flower is a spellbinders die cut that have only used once before lots of parts to this one.  But I really like how it turned out.  The paper I used is shimmer paper and it looks shiny but not sure you can see it in the photo.
I would also like to invite you to our facebook page to play along in the challenges there as they are different then the blog.  That address is here:https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=ching-chou%20digital%20stamps. So I hope to see you all there!!
Till next time Happy Crafting.

Snowflake Imprint

Hi Everyone,  I hope your day is just as wonderful as mine has been.  It is sun-shining and beautiful out however we are due to get more rain later today.
Today is my day for some inspiration for you from Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps.  My image is called "Snowflake Imprint"  I was going to make her into a Christmas card but I had this flower laying on my craft table and wanted to use it so this is what I came up with.  Maybe the next card I make with this image will be a Christmas card.  I have a tendency to not follow the rules sometimes.  But hey are there rules when it  comes to Art and Crafts?  I think not well not for me anyway. LOL
Our  team theme for this week is Anything goes so that is why I did this.  I colored her with my copics and used eye shadow for the muted back ground.  (when I use a background like that I usually spray it with hair spray to set it so it doesn't come off.  A light coat is all you need to use do not saturate the paper as it will curl up badly.) I love this flower so I decided I need to use it.  It is from Heartfelt Creations and has the die cut to match.  My girlfriend gave this to me as a gift an I use it alot.  It is so easy to make it look totally different with different colors.

Our challenge theme this month is "Pearls and Lace" and I would like to invite you to come down to the challenge site and play along.  You have til the end of the month to do so.  You do not need to use one of these images but if you do you get two chances to win.  Here is the link for the challenge site:

And we  have a facebook challenge as well and I can put the link for that here too:

So grab your coffee or what ever you drink and come take a look and join in the fun with all the other wonderful crafters.

Camelias Empress

Well how is everyone this morning.  Well actually it is afternoon here but I should have had this done this morning.  Instead I went to watch my grand son play LaCrosse in Wellington, Fl.
This beauty is called Camelias Empress.  She is a stunning image and so much fun to color. You can find her and so many more beautiful images at the MoonFlower Esty Shop here: https://www.etsy.com/pt/shop/MoonFlowerDigistamps  I hope you will go check out the shop and see all the wonderful images that she has for sale.
I had a hard time deciding what colors to use to make her look elegant.  I think I found the ones that suited me.  She is colored with my copic's. I mounted her on some paper from Heartfelt Creations and the used a border punch to do one side.  the others I added the flowers and they are from Recollections by Michael's. The black swirls are cut from my cricut.  I added a lot of glitter  pen to the gems on her head and outfit.
I hope you like my card and will leave me a comment on it.  I do read each and everyone of them.  So till next month I hope you have a wonderful day and happy crafting.

The Mill

Good morning to you all.  This image is a freebie that I got from TLC and decided to see what I could do with it so I am going to use it for Fathers Day for my hubby.  I was not sure how it was gonna turn out but I think I am pretty pleased with it.  I showed hubby the image after I colored it to see what he had to say about it and he liked it so now I go ahead and make the card into a fathers day card for him (no he does not know what it is for).

I did enjoy this one and have some classes with Kit and Clowder to finish with background so now I don't feel so intimidated by them.

I hope you liked my card today and will leave me a comment on what you think of it.  I do read them all. I see lots of people stop by but not a lot of comments so I am hoping that if you know I do read them all you will not be afraid to tell me what you think.

Till next time Happy Crafting.

One and Only Heart

Hi everyone, I hope this post finds you all well and  happy
Today is week two at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps and this is my choice for this week.  The name of this image is "One and Only Heart". You can find this wonderful image at the Esty shop here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/262029169/valentine-love-fairy-digital-stamp-set?ga_search_query=hearts&ref=shop_items_search_7
Our team theme for this week is "Use Buttons" so I used two on the corner pieces.  The corner pieces are cut from a suede piece of paper that I got from Paper Wishes catalog.  It is thicker then most papers so was a bit harder to cut but turned out fantastic.  I love the look of these corner pieces.  They are a spellbinders die.  I colored her with my copics and added her to some coordinating papers also from Paper Wishes.
Our Theme of the month of June at the website is "Pearls and Lace" if you want to hop over and play along with us that would be fantastic we would love to have you.  here is the link to our Challenge page.
We have a facebook page as well to play along with and you can find that here
So all till next week Happy Crafting to you all.

Gigi Mermaid

Hi Everyone!!  Hope your all well today.  I am posting for MoonFlower Digital stamps today .  This little sweet mermaid is called Gigi.  She can be found in the Esty shop here:https://www.etsy.com/pt/shop/MoonFlowerDigistamps.  There are many wonderful images to choose  from so grab your coffee and go check it out.

I colored her with my copics and did her background with eye shadow from the dollar store.  Love that stuff it is so pretty and easy to use, You must seal it when done and I use a small squirt of hair spray to do that.  I mounted her on some patterned  paper from Recollections from Michael's.  The base card is a hinged card and the cut is a spellbinders die.  Not a lot of embellishments just a bow and some sequins,  as this is for my grand daughter who loves all Mermaids.

I hope you will check out the blog for inspiration here: http://moonflowerdigistamps.blogspot.co.uk/ and also our Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/moonflowerdigistamps/?fref=ts.  Come and meet the Design team and all the wonderful followers that we have.

Fathers Day

Hey everyone.  I just wanted to share with you a card I made for my hubby's birthday which is coming up soon.  The image is one from Imagine That by Kris and I used copic's to color it.  The sky is done with eye shadow for the blues and I sprayed it a bit with hair spray to seal the eye shadow so it doesn't smear.  I love this image and use it alot.  You can get this and I believe a whole set of images and sentiments to go with it at: http://imaginethatdigistamp.blogspot.com/

Kris is very talented and has some wonderful images.  I love her images for little boys.  I didn't decorate this to much as it is for hubby and he even saw me coloring it and said it was great, he doesn't know it is for his birthday. LOL    I did do the inside with a sentiment but didn't photograph that, to personal.

Well thanks for stopping by and hope you will leave me a comment on my card.  I do read them all.

Till next time happy crafting.

Orchid in Spring

Good Morning to all my wonderful followers.
Today my post is for Ching--Chou Kuik Digital Stamps.  She is Called Orchid in Spring and she is for our monthly challenge.  This month our Theme is " Pearls and Lace".
The challenge page for you to play along with us is here:http://cck-digitalstamps-challenge.blogspot.com/

I chose this image for the flowers that remind me of Spring.  My favorite thing is to color flowers of any kind and to see if I can make them look real.  I have lots of Orchids and one this color and love it.  I used that for my color scheme.  The lace is from my stash and think it looks like a petal for a flower. (not an Orchid petal tho)  I used copics to color her and mounted her on a doily and a circle cut from my spellbinders die cut.  (The side step card is one I learned to do from Christina from Card making magic.  So simple you make a reg card 5x7 the decide where you want your image and cut next to it half way done then fold both ways and push to the center and you have a step card with no measuring. I thought it was so simple I had to try it and it works like a charm!)

You can find this image at the Esty shop along with so many other beautiful images to choose from and here is the link to the store for you to go check it out! :https://www.etsy.com/shop/gjzcck/search?search_query=Orchids+in++spring&order=date_desc&view_type=gallery&ref=shop_search
This link will take you directly to this image then you can go browse the rest of the shop.
I would like to invite you to our facebook page as well as we have challenges there too for everyone.  https://www.facebook.com/groups/chingchoukuikdigitalstamps/.  Please some on down and join in the fun here as well.  Lots of inspiration and great ladies.

So till next time all HAPPY CRAFTING TO YOU...

Quote in Frame

Good Morning to you all.  I just wanted to pop in here and show you some mixed media that I have been playing with.  This is a very light weight frame that I got from Michaels and I used a sparkle spray paint on it.  It was the first time that I have ever used this spray and was shocked at how bright it was.  It is VERY PINK!  I colored this quote to match the frame and mounted it in the center.  The hearts are some strips from Hobby Lobby that I got long ago and forgot I had.  Which tells me I need to reorganize my cabinet so I know what is there instead of buying more.  Funny thing is my Husband is an enabler as every time we pass one of the craft stores he asks if I need something and what can a girl say to that?  Yes of course I do.  But I have to say lately I have said NO as I need to reorganize what I have first.  I have been working on some Hat Ladies by Rick St. Dennis for my bathroom to put into frames so that has taken me some time  as well.

Any way I made this for my pay it forward friend, now just need to figure out how to send it to her as she lives in NC and, I need to make sure it doesn't get broken as it is not the sturdiest of woods.  But I will get it to her.

I hope you like my gift for my friend and you will leave me a comment.  I see lots of people look at my blog but not leave comments and I just want you all to know I read everyone of them.  Thanks for Looking and have a wonderful crafting day!!!

As always
Linda
