Autumn Moon

Hi All Linda Here and today is our monthly challenge at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps and the Theme is Bright and Beautiful.

This is one of my favorite images.  And I love how she turned out.  I colored her with copics and cut the edge with Fiskars  edge punch. I decided to use the purple as a backing paper.  I had this green paper that I found in my stash and it was a perfect fit. I added the gems for the bling.  I hope you like how this turned out and will leave me a comment.

You can find this image at the Esty shop here.
There are a lot of wonderful images there so take your time and look around.  Happy Shopping.

Our monthly challenge goes from December 1st till the 30th of December.  You have a lot of time to check out the DT inspirations and make your project.  The website for the challenge here.

We also have a facebook challenge if your interested and I will give you the website here.  I am inviting you to join us at both sites.  I do hope you will come play along with us.

Till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Animal Friends

Good Morning to you all.
Today is my first day as a new Designer for Through The Craft Room Door Challenge.
I am very excited to have been chosen to work with this wonderful group of ladies.  We have a challenge each month that is Anything Goes so you can play along with any image or project you want.  I love this idea because I have so many images and really don't need to buy more. (Although I still do, but then who doesn't right?)

Our Sponsor this week is Di's Digi Stamps and you can find all her adorable stamps here.

I have had this image in my stash for a few years and I do believe it is retired now because I couldn't find it on the website any longer but there are tons of wonderful images to choose from and I hope you will go check them out.
You can win a $12.00 store Voucher to the store if you win the weekly prize, so come join us at TTCRD here   http://ttcrd.blogspot.com/.

I colored this image with my copics and used eye shadow (bought at the dollar store) to do the sky and background.  Once you do the eye shadow you must mist it very lightly with a fixative (I use cheap hairspray) so that it doesn't rub off.  I tend to use it a lot.  Then I die cut this adorable tree out with the butterfly leaves and cut a hole in the card just behind the giraffe an inserted it there.  I glued it to the card so it wouldn't move.  I added it to the green background paper, that I got from a friend to make it bright.  The base card is orange and the sentiment is one from my stash that I have had for ages.  This would also make a great card for birthdays for little ones.  I have a friend that loves giraffes so this is for her.

I would also like to enter this card into the Challenge at Artistic Inspiration Challenge blog here.

Till the next time we meet Happy Crafting to you all

Breaking Dawn

Hi everyone today I am posting a different cut for my card.  I found this one on pinterest and loved it so decided that my card for the Anything goes week at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps would be different.  I really like how this turned out.  The first photo of course is how it looks folded.  It is called the gate easel card. I used some glitter paper that had pink and black in it  for the card.  I got this paper from a friend who was cleaning out here stash.  I never say no to paper!!  I used the image Breaking Dawn (that you can find here).  Making the card was easy and I did download the dementions as well so I have them.  I used all the same papers front and back (it actually made the card thicker).  I used some flower stickers on the inside to stop the image when she is standing.  Plus on the belly band that keeps it closed and the two front flaps.  Other then that there are no embellishments, just lots of layering.   I love the simplicity of this one.  Just have to do that sometimes without all that bling.  My image is the main feature and that is what I wanted.

For this week of the month our theme is Anything goes so I try to do something different each month.

Our Monthly challenge is still on and you still have a few days left to enter so if you are interested in winning a nice prize come join in (here).  I would also like to invite you to join our Facebook group as well.  You will find lots of great people there and lots of Inspiration as well.

So sweet followers I hope you will leave me a comment on how you think I did on this one and I will catch up with you next time.

Christmas Candle Angel

Good morning to everyone today!
It is a wonderful day here in Florida.  Hurricane Matthew is gone and we are fine.
This is going to be one of my Christmas cards.   I have been making Christmas cards for a while so hopefully I will have enough and not have to panic when it hits Dec. 15th.  LOL

I colored this image with copics and mounted her onto some designer paper by Recollections Christmas pack from last years stash.  The Yellow snowflakes are from a new die by Darice that I got for my birthday.  I punched the corners with a fiskars corner punch which I love.  The lace is just a small piece from some that I got at a garage sale as is the small piece of yellow ribbon on the side. I hope you like my card and will leave me a comment on it.  I do read them all.
This Beauty is called Christmas Candle Angel as you can see by the title.  Out theme for the second week at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps is Red or Green.  I chose green to compliment her dress.  It actually is a soft yellow but the computer shows it almost a yellow green but that is ok it  pretty like that too.

Our Monthly Challenge at Ching_Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Challenge is Christmas and if you want to play along you still have a few days to do so and you can add your card to it and here is the link for that challenge Here

I would also like to invite you to join in  with us on our Facebook page if your not already part of the group.

So till next time Happy Crafting and have a wonderful day.

Lily in Christmas

Well good morning to you all.  Today is my day for inspiration.  This is the card that I did for our Monthly Theme over at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Challenge.  Our Theme is "Christmas".  I do hope you will come down and play along with us for some great prizes. This is the link for you to go to the blog for the challenge here.

With this card I wanted something different and found in my stash this Mulberry paper that a friend gave me a couple of years ago.  It is a bright red and that is what I was looking for.  I decided to tear the edges to give it a bit of a shabby chic look and then tore the edges of the paper as well.  I had a small piece of gold mulberry paper too so I tore that to put under the read for a splash of color.  The flowers are from my stash and the sentiment is one I have had sitting in my drawer for years. I don't normally put sentiments on my cards till I use them so I can decide what occasion I want that card for so I knew this was gonna be a Christmas card so added the sentiment.  I love how this turned out but it really is going to be one of a kind because I don't have all those supplies left.  But that is ok maybe the recipient will feel special then.

I hope you will come join us on Facebook as well for some fun and great ladies and inspiration.  Here is the link so you don't have to go search Here

Till next time you all and happy crafting too.

Inspiration by Linda Hummingbird Iris Flower

Good day to all you wonderful crafting followers.
Today I am posting for Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps.  This is week 3 of the month and our DT theme is "Anyting goes" so I did this beautiful image called Humming Bird Iris Flower.  What a wonderful image to have to color.
You can find this image at the Esty shop here .

I used my copics to color her and then used an Martha Stewart Punch for the side of her.  I originally did both sides but didn't like the look so I cut one off.  This is a side step card as I couldn't decide what I really wanted to do with it.  The vine die cuts are an new die from Darice that I got while on vacation and just now using for the first time.  I really like it, but it is a corner die and I cut it apart.  I do that with a lot of the dies as they can be more versatile for you to use more then one way.

I would like to invite you to play along with our Challenge blog to win some wonderful images by Ching-Chou Kuik digital stamps.  If you use one of her images you get two chances to win, but if you don't have any you can use what ever you have to have a chance to win one.  The Challenge blog is here.

We also have a challenge on Facebook for you to enter as well.  I hope you will come and have some fun with us and let us inspire you.
Till next time Happy Crafting.

Holly Poinsettia Mermaid Inspiration by Linda

Hey everyone how are you? It is sun shining here today and a bit warm but beautiful.  Much better then cold for me.

My inspiration post for today is called Holly Poinsettia Mermaid.  She is beautiful and I love this image.  I colored here in Christmas colors then decided to add some Blue as well Non traditional colors for Christmas.  Our theme for the DT this week is use some die cuts so I use some die cut flowers and swirls and flowers..
I think this image makes a wonderful Christmas card so I stamped the poinsettia on the envelope as well.  I have this earmarked for someone special at Christmas time and may make a couple of more similar too.   I never make to alike.
We have our monthly challenge going on at the Blog and I am inviting you all to come play along with us.  Our Monthly theme is Halloween/Spooky.  So any image you have works but you get 2 chances to win if you use an image by Ching-Chou Kuik.  You can find all her images here at the shop.
I do hope you will go check out the store for lots of new and exciting new images.
We also have a Facebook challenge if you want to come join in there as well.

Big Pumpkin Inspiration by Linda

Good day to all you fellow crafters.
Today I am posting for the Monthly challenge over at Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps.   You can find the challenge here.
I do hope you will come play along with us.  Our theme for this month is Halloween/Spooky.
I have chosen this image called Big Pumpkin for my part in the Challenge D. T.
I colored it with my copics and used a new die cut from Paper Wishes for the spider and the web. They are all one die cut but who can do it with just one.  I had to cut them apart to get the extra spiders then I used the other part of the web on different cards and cut this one up for here.  I am not fond of spiders but the paper ones are okay.

You can get this image at the Esty shop here.

We also have a Facebook page if you want to come down and play along with the challenges there as well.

Well Happy Crafting to you all and till next time!!

My Hat Lady Candle

Hello everyone.  Today I am posting my candle that I made for a friend.  I love these images by Rick St. Dennis.  I colored this with copics then scanned it into the computer and then printed it on tissue paper.  This is really easy to do.  I tape it to a piece of card stock to put through the printer.  I think cut it to fit the candle and use wax paper to put over the image and use and heat tool to melt the image into the candle.  Once it cools then I add any embellishments and this time I used a pink ribbon.   I make a lot of these and use them for gifts.

I would like to enter this into the Anything goes challenge at the Classic Design Team Open Challenge for Design team members.  You can find the challenge here.

I hope you like my candle and that I have inspired you to try one of your own.  You could use a napkin as well but just one layer be sure to check to see how many layers it has.  Once I do another on with a napkin I will post that too.

So till next time Happy Crafting to you all.

Silently Sparkling

Good morning to you all.  Today is my day for inspiration for Ching-Chou Kuik Digital Stamps Challenge blog.
I used the image Silently Sparkling and you can find it here.

Our Challenge theme for the month is Use Thinking of you, Thank You or Sympathy for your card.  I hope you will join us for our monthly challenge.

This week is the DT. challenge and the theme for this is White on White.  The only color we could have would be the image itself.  I love this look as it always looks so elegant.  I used the polka dot embossing folder.  The bow is really the only embellishment that I used.  I am going to use this for a birthday card for a relative.  I colored her with copics.

I would like to invite you to join us in the facebook challenge here
Also come join us at the Monthly Challenge as well and you will find that one here.

So ladies and gents till next week happy crafting.

Anthera Lady of the Woods

Good Morning to you all.
Today I am posting this beautiful image from MoonFlower digital images.

Her name is Anthera  and the image is called Lady of the woods.  You can find her here at the shop.  She is a wonderful image to work with.  I lay awake last nite after coloring her wondering what I could do to make this card.  I had several ideas but ended up using this one.  I made the flower at the bottom (hoping to match the ones in the image) from a leaf punch by Stampin-up.  I just cut a few leaves one large two medium and 5 small ones just inked them to match the image and used a fiskars flower punch for the green leaf.  I masked the image and stamped the trees in the back with the Lovely as a Tree stamp set by Stampin-in up.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets.  The background color is eye shadow.  The die cut behind the image is from Spellbinders.  I mounted it on a black card to make it stand out.
I sure hope you like my card, as it is one of my favorites.

Come on down to the MoonFlower blog and get some inspiration from all the wonderful cards our DT team has made with the MoonFlower images.  I hope you will find some you love too.

So till next time Happy Crafting to you all.
