Hearts and Roses

Hi all you crafter's out there.  Today I am posting for my DT position on the Created with Love Challenges.  My card is called Hearts an Roses and is from Fred She Said. here.  If you love flowers like I do you need to check these out.  I used a embossing folder to emboss the heart after fussy cutting it out.  I then used an ink dobber and inked over the embossing.  I pop dotted the second set of roses so it had demention.  My background paper is from My Mines Eye lost and found pack.  I got this pack in a blog hop win.  Love this one it is so versatile.  The flower punch on the side is from Martha Stewart punch.  My ribbon is organza and from my stash of ribbons.  I tied the bow with the home made bow maker my hubby made me and it works like a charm perfect bows every time.  I also added three flat backed pearls to it for some bling.  I hope all of you will come down to Created with Love Challenges here: to play along with us this week.  Our theme is In the Garden.  Hope to see you all there.  Happy Crafting

Vintage lady

Good Morning everyone.  Today I am posting for my newest position at Tuesday Throwdown as DT.
Our challenge this week is sponsored by "Really Reasonable Ribbon".  I decided to do this lady as our theme is Shabby Chic.  I just love the way she looks.  And my favorite color is Green so she got a green dress.  I found some background paper in my folder for TLC so I used that for the background and I used my scissors on the edges to fray them and then inked it with Tim Holtz honey gold.  I really like the effect of that.  And of course I had to use the stringy lace that I have in my lace drawer as it fits perfectly.  The corner pieces are from Crafty City and wow she has some great products and prices.  If you get a chance go check it out.  So now that you see what the theme is over at Tuesday Throwdown come on down and play you can link your card up here  so come play with us.  Happy Crafting all.

Bubbles Galore

Hey everyone.  How is everyone today?  It is sun shining here on the Treasure Coast of Sunny Florida.  Beautiful breeze and just perfect out.  However I spent my day in the craft room (between doing laundry as well) and this is one of the projects I made.  She is Called Bubbles Galore and it is from Lacy Sunshine FB Fan page contest. Here:  The top photo is the project and I used an 8x10 canvas and put the image in the back of it.  She was colored with copics and Martha Stewart alcohol markers.  I put a paper doily in behind her that I inked with light green chalk ink for color.  And I added the two bubble's to the project and I used sukura glitter pens on them.  The flowers at the top are from my stash and the smile sentiment is from metal-metal. I cover the edge of the canvas with some lace that has yellow ribbon running through it.   The second photo is just a close up of the image.  I hope you all like my project and will leave me some love!  Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Crafting all.
I would like to also enter this into the challenge "Anything Goes" at Through the craft room door. here:

Easter Bunny

Good morning to you all.  Today my post is about Easter.  This is for my DT position at Created with Love challenges.  I sure hope you will come join us.  My bunny is from QKR Stampede Stamps here:  They have some awesome stamps there so do go check them out you won't be sorry.  Now on to my card. Well maybe I should say my egg.  I cut the shape out with my new silhouette and  also the top scalloped egg.  It took me a couple of tries as I am new to the silhouette but love it.  I made this one for my grand daughter then decided I couldn't give it to her because of all the rhinestones I put on it so will just keep it for me.  I colored the bunny with copics and the sentiment came with the bunny digi I just cut it away from the image.  Not a lot with this one the bunny and gems were plenty for this card.  I hope you will come down to Created with Love challenges here. and play along with us.  I know you will have fun. So get those Easter cards made and join us.  Happy Crafting all.

Dragon Fly

Hey everyone!  Today is the day for Tuesday Throwdown Challenge.  Today the theme is use a partial piece of the digi image.  This one had a bunch of flowers that I chose to cut off.  I just wanted a couple to show it was there.  I colored my image with my copics. And found this wild ribbon which I love and now is gone this was my last piece.  I used my homemade  bow maker to tie this perfect bow.  My butterflies came from a friend who has this punch.  And the sentiment is from a Martha Stewart punch. My base card is tan card stock that is not very heavy so I added a white piece to the inside to give it some strength and for writing on.  The image came from Robyn's Fetish here. and I hope you will check out here  site she has some fantastic images to work with.  This is just one of hundreds you can get.  So come on down and play along with us this week.  Here is the link for you to post your card.  Hope to see you all there.  Happy Crafting all.

White washing

Hi there everyone!!  I wanted to post this card for you all to see.  It is my first attempt at White washing.  I found one similar to this on UTube and wanted to try it.  So I got out my supplies and went to work.  I didn't have a stamp that would be good for this so Off to Michaels I went and found this one.  I really like it but was looking for a Rose to use.  I first used the embossing buddy on it then stamped the image with Martha Stewart embossing stamp medium.  The I used Stampendous white embossing powder.   Once I used my heat gun to melt it I got out my Tim Holtz white marker and put some on my water pen and covered the entire image.  Then I got some of the distress inks from Tim Holtz and used those on the pink and the honey colored center.  I used a darker green on the stems even tho you can't see it all that well.  I wanted a clean and simple card so just put some black gems on the corners and mounted the kraft paper to black and then to a white base card.  I found that I liked the look so well I did a number of them and used different papers to experiment an some I liked an some I didn't.  But all in all I had fun and learned a lot from those experiments and the most important thing I learned it is looks best on the kraft paper.  So there you are my Whitewashed card. I hope you will take some time and experiment as well.  Happy Crafting all.

Liebster Award

Good Morning, well I have come up with my Liebster Award nominations, all of which are so deserving.  I hope those of you I chose will pass the award forward as it is meant to be.  I am honored to know and call you all my blogging friends.  Congrats to all of you from me.

I was reading my comments on my blog this morning and I was awarded the Liebster Award from a good friend Chris B. from  It is quite the honor to be awarded with this award and I want to thank Chris for doing this for me.  She has asked me a few questions that I want to answer here for her.1. She wanted to know what my 3 favorite supplies were and why.  My three favorites are first and foremost are flowers.  I have always had a passion for flowers since I was a little girl growing up next to my grandmother.  Second are die cuts, and that is because they are so versatile and can be used on anything.  And lastly would be my cuddlebug machine because I love the look of the paper after using the embossing folders.
2. How long have I been making cards.  That is easy it has been 2 years and 3 months.
3. My favorite techniques for card making.  That is a bit harder cause there are so many techniques I have learned along the way and love and so many more to learn so I can't say I have a favorite at the moment.
4. Where does my creative inspiration come from?  Mostly watching UTube and then doing the card my way.  And from looking out the window and seeing the world.
5. How long have I been blogging and what got me started.  I have been blogging about a year now and what got me started was finding the challenges on the web and getting involved in them to display your cards you needed a blog so I thought why not so I started that was an love it.
6. My favorite color combos.  Well that one is easy too.  Any Green and any other color that goes well with it.  Green is my favorite color by far.
7. How does my family handle my craftiness?  Well they are all supportive of it and that makes me happy.  Hubby says if I am happy he is happy.  The kids love it because they get more cards that way.
8. What so I do with my finished cards?  A lot of them go to family and some to the cancer charity's and I sell some as well.

I would like to nominate some of the people I know for this award as well.  It is a pay it forward for the next person and so on.

Sassy Lady

Hello ya all.  Tonight I am posting my card for the challenge over at Sassy Studio Designs "your favorite color.  My favorite color is green as I am sure you can tell.  This is from the face book progressive challenge held on Facebook.  I colored her with my copics and mounted her with pop dots. The black gems are from my stash and the gold and green ones are some I bought at the expo a couple of years ago.  The die cut behind her is a spell binders die and the doily is a paper doily I got at Michael's.  Come on down to the challenge here: and play along.

Class Card

Hello all you wonderful crafters.  I am posting a card that my class will be making next week.  It is all monotone and I love it. This is the first card of this kind that I have actually made.  I love color so keeping it in just one color range is hard for me.  But I did it so I could show my ladies what it looks like.  I had fun doing this one.  I scored the background so it would look like tile and then rubbed the ink over top so that the score lines showed.  Then I cut the leaves with a spellbinders die cut and the flowers with a Fiskars punch and the oval is also a spell binders die.  I inked the stampin-up stamp with the same color ink as the back ground and just added a little color to it to make it a bit more outstanding.  (can't get rid of all color NOPE not me.)  I used glitter glue on the centers of the flowers instead of putting gems in there.  The ribbon that is on there also has the same color in it.  That is the last of that ribbon that was given to me by my best friend and I am sad it is gone.  Loved that ribbon but it went to a good use.  I hope you like my card and will leave me some love as to what you think of it.  I read every one of the comments on my blog and love hearing from you all.  Thanks for looking and hope you all have a wonderful day.

Book Worm

Good morning all today I am posting for Tuesday Throwdown challenge Tic Tac Toe.  Mine is Buttons, Image and Embossing.  As you can see the button and the image the embossing is a bit harder to see.  It is on the butterflies all three are embossed with a Stampin-up butterfly embosslit.
Come on down and play along with us for this challenge.  I colored it with copics, and the sentiment is from the computer.  Happy Crafting all.

Come Grow Old With Me.

Hi all you wonderful crafters.  Today I am posting for the DT of Creative Colors Challenge.  Our Colors today are deep purple, gold and fushia.  My base card is deep purple and the die cut is the deep fushia or as close to it as I could get.  the gold is in the flowers. The challenge this week are those 3 colors plus you must use a die cut somewhere on your card.  Mine has 3 the leaves and the fushia behind the sentiment.  I colored the sentiment flowers with copics and pop dotted it to the background.  All the papers are from my stash and quite old (at least 6 months old)  The Image is from Bugaboo stamps here:  They have so fantastic digi stamps for you to choose from so I hope you will hop over there and check them out.  The link to our challenge is here: so run to your craft room and make a card and join us.  We would love to see you there this week.  We have some great prizes for the winners.  Happy crafting.

Ladybug Lyndsey Buggmess

Good Morning all you wonderful crafters.  I am so glad you stopped by to see my sweet little Ladybug Lindsay Buggmess.  She can be purchased from The Lacy Sunshine shop here:   She has some of the most adorable images around.  Ladybug  Lyndsey was so much fun to color.  I decided to color her in these particular colors because they are some of my favorite ones.  This is my DT card for our challenge over at "Created With Love Challenges" this week our theme is "Girlie"   I sure hope you will stop by and play along with us this week.
Now on to my card.  I wanted spring time colors as so much of the country is buried under so much snow and ice.  So hence the yellow and green.  I colored her with copic markers and cut her out with a spellbinder die.  The butterfly at the top is a new sticker I found at of all places the dollar store.  I wasn't looking for stickers but was looking for some journal books I could decorate.  The stickers were beautiful and I couldn't pass them up for only $1.00.  The Butterfly border is an SVG cut that I found on the internet for free, and can't beat that price either.  I cut it with my new Silhouette and inked the edges.  The embossed background is a folder from cuttlebug and I inked the edges of that with the same color as the butterfly.  I added a bit of bling with the hearts and the leaves that were cut out of glitter paper.  I hope you will come down to Created with love Challenges here: and play along with us this week.
